Descrizione

"Carnival in Suburbia ".

“Carnival in Suburbia”. A bitter portrait photography of the American country, that could be the Italian one, where some guys meet in the parking area of a drugstore.
While they are talking and drinking, there is who plans to leave the city or the state, hoping for a better future, but there is who doesn’t want to leave that little comfortable world.

Is there another solution instead of running away?
The world is going through crucial transformation periods through which a radical change is expected. Being indifferent to that question means to admit our inability to share events and deny our talent.
The modern man is now certain and aware of not being able to image a future life without intellectual sharing of knowledge that accompanied the evolution of the humankind. As well as in the digital age, it has been demonstrated and documented, it’s not possible to compete in the global participation of productive life without knowing and using technology.
The connection of both these potentialities, intellectual knowledge on the one hand, and technology science on the other, could be the answer to the existential question proposed at the beginning.
The last comment is left to the visitor of the exhibition, which now is located in the ancient space of the former church of San Gregorio in Sacile.

Twelve artists from every corner of the earth (Europe, USA, South America, Asia) have accepted the invitation of the curator to tackle an exhibition that is controversial, but certainly documentary and thoughtful, where authors can interact with the visitors by irreverent, sometimes shocking, allegorical references, but also able to involve us in their vision, which is strong, dynamic, and empathetic because generous and pure.

Conventional expression systems such as painting, even if they belong to a subversive and irreverent Tim Slowinski, contrast with the multimedia marks of Billy Martin and of the new social network frontiers, where there is no boundary between art object and creative subject except Facebook, a new media cultural alphabet that, through the interaction of the public, expresses by using objects retrieved from the collective visual experience.
